SAN JOSE, CA -- Three activists from the California State Alumni Association, aka the CSU Alumni of Silicon Valley, recently met with SJSU officials Paul Richardson and Larry Page to press for restoration of CSU alumni and student civil rights at San Jose State.
The CSU Alumni requested the school protect CSU alumni and student freedom of association, speech and identification at San Jose State by taking the following measures:
-- A request that the University adopt a CSU-oriented sub-identity such as "The California State University Campus in Silicon Valley" and allow students and alumni to purchase merchandise using that sub-identity
-- A request to allow alumni to create a CSU-oriented chapter or network inside the SJSU alumni association |
